Masterclass: The power of white space thinking
“Why do I need thinking time?” is what most of you must be wondering right now. Well, quite literally, you need this thinking time to reflect and gain clarity. Quality thinking or intentional thinking doesn’t happen in today’s fast-paced world.
We don’t realise how important it is to sit down and just think. It has been scientifically proven that your body is rejuvenated when you manage to spare some time for just sitting back, relaxing, and thinking about life in general with no distractions around. All your mental hurricanes calm down. A rush of creativity fills you in with the most inventive ideas that simplify the complexities of life.
When you intentionally spend time thinking with no music or distractions it allows you to naturally solve problems, be creative and come up with new ideas for whatever is going on in life. I call this white space thinking. I like to do it when I go for walks without music or laying in bed as I fall asleep.
I love to let my mind wonder and dream. There is something so relaxing about it.
Have you ever been in a deep daydream and then you come back into reality and you feel different? Like you just left the earth and then came back?
And maybe in those time periods you came up with solutions to a problem, dreamed about your future or simply felt rejuvenated by living in the moment.
